A new year, a new beginning.

I was, for the most part, quiet for all of 2012.  There were quite a few things going on in my personal life and with my health that kept me from focusing on my photography.   With the new year, all but a couple of minor things are behind me and have been taken care of.  With that, I’m starting a new project and picking back up a couple of dormant projects.   It promises to be a fun, photo filled year.

In November, I finally pulled the trigger on buying a new camera.  My venerable Nikon D50 gave me a good 8 years of life and many, many photos.  My new gear centers around a Nikon D7000, SB-910 speedlight, Yongzou SB-560 speedlight and a bunch of other addons like a beauty dish, snoot, grids, umbrellas, filters, etc.
The Alien Bees are gone and in their place is a gear-set that, with the exception of the stands, snoot and beauty dish, fits in my new backpack.  I’m getting back to my roots of guerilla style urb-ex and outdoor shooting.  Flexibility and edge are the words this year.

Enough with the words, I give you a skull.  In a jar.  Because, you know, a skull in a jar!  That’s why!
