A gallery of my work organized by year.
With a camera, a bed, a red dress and my ever lovely wife, Wendi, how could I go wrong on a Wednesday evening?
I haven’t participated in one of Molly’s themes in way too long so I asked Wendi (my much prettier half) if she’d pose for it. She was delighted and spent most of the day playing with cloth and clothes and lingerie and all the other fun things that go into a shoot like this. More photos from the shoot soon. This one’s for Sinful Sunday.
Click on the lips at the bottom to go to Molly’s Daily Kiss for links to the rest of the participant’s posts. Enjoy
I spent some time last night doing light and posing experiments with my lovely wife, Wendi. Generally I do not get anything usable out of such a session since I’m focused on what works, doesn’t work, and on experiments. I deliberately push things to extremes in order to study the *why* as much as the *what* of how the pose or light acts and looks.
Then there are times when with a little post work, I come up with something truly extraordinary. The last time was the image “Stark Elegance” (nsfw) where it was a particular pose and expression that was the inspiration for an image. This time, it’s just the way the light fell, the softness of the detail on her hair, her expression. It’s probably one of the most elegant portraits of Wendi I’ve taken yet.
I am one of the coordinators for a weekly photographer / model meetup in Buckhead. This week’s theme was “Stockings and Garters”. I’m still going through the photos from the night, but here are a few of the photos I’ve already finished.
I give you, Wendi in a little black dress, fishnets and bright red heels.
My lovely wife, Wendi, posing in her playful new red dress and shoes. There’s more to her new outfit, but you don’t get to see that….. yet.
Going back through my archives again. This time, from 2006-2008. You may have seen some of these before, others I know no one has seen. All of them have been taken from the raw shots and re-edited / corrected / cropped, etc. using the stuff I’ve learned in the six or seven years since I took the shots. Enjoy.
Wendi and I having fun out behind Cool Beans in Marietta Square.
I was, for the most part, quiet for all of 2012. There were quite a few things going on in my personal life and with my health that kept me from focusing on my photography. With the new year, all but a couple of minor things are behind me and have been taken care of. With that, I’m starting a new project and picking back up a couple of dormant projects. It promises to be a fun, photo filled year.
