A gallery of my work organized by year.
This is a new set in my continuing explorations in shape, form, shadow and how it can be used to express the beauty and eroticism of the female form.
This set wraps up the boudoir shoot that Kerstin and I did a few weeks ago. These images weren’t from any particular set, or plan. I just saw here sitting back relaxing while I was adjusting lights to prepare for the shots posted on Day 8. I warn people that if you sit still long enough, I’ll shoot you and that’s just what I did here. No posing, no planning, just her sitting back, relaxing and having fun in front of the camera.
These are decidedly NOT safe for work. Nudity and implied nudity. You’ve been warned.
On the eight day, boundaries were pushed and comfort levels tested. The original purpose of this entire evening of photography was to create a photo book for Kerstin’s partner, John. These last few images are from a very intimate set of photos that I thought long and hard before asking permission to post.
On the one hand, they are astounding photos that show not only a sensitive vulnerability, but the strength Kerstin has to push through and let that vulnerability and strength be shared with everyone who can appreciate it.
There is implied nudity in this set. Well, let’s be honest, there’s nothing implied about it. She IS nude, but the poses are such that they never devolve into lurid or exhibitionist. Technically, they’re all Facebook safe, even if most HR departments would have to go have a lie down and a hot toddy to recover.
So with that said, I give you a taste of beauty, vulnerability, sensuality and above all, Strength.
Set four is a bit more relaxed and informal than the first few. Most of the lighting in this one is from my 60inch softbox that’s almost too big to fit in the house. Enjoy.
After about half an hour of shooting, Kerstin started to lose a bit of her nervousness and get playful. She had a great little mask with her which I thought matched the bustier she wanted to use for at least one set. The two together made for a very playful, alluring set.
(no nudity, but suggestive)
Yesterday I kicked off a week long series of posts from a boudoir shoot with the beautiful Kerstin. We continue today with the first real set from that evening. It’s always a challenge shooting a model’s first shoot, doubly so for one with any level of sensuality attached to it. As you’ll see over the next few days, though, Kerstin really came out of her shell pretty quickly and lost herself in the fun of the shoot.
I give you; Day Two.
(no nudity, but suggestive themes)
The beauty of a mother-to-be is not just in the visions of her pregnant body, but are just as visible in the images of the woman herself. I give you a few more photos of the lovely Kerstin. I took these as part of a pregnancy photo shoot of her back in April, but felt they deserved their own showcase separate from the one focusing on her pregnancy.

It has been a while since I last posted any of the nude and risqué sets I shoot. These images are from a set that was more of an experiment than a planned session.
It does not take bunches of lights and backdrops and modifiers and other gear to get a very soft, sensual look in a nude set. Often, simplicity is more effective than an “engineered” approach.
I could go on for another few thousand words, but I would much rather let the images speak for themselves. All of these but one were shot with a single speed light on a stand with a 12×8 soft box, The last one was pure available light and is pretty much a candid taken while the model was relaxing g after the shoot.
I shouldn’t have to say this but the images after the fold are Not Safe For Work. Nudity abounds beyond the fold. Enjoy.
Felt a bit hermit-like tonight so I put on the headphones and went through (mumble) years of photos tonight. Pulled a few out to play around with as the mood struck me. Some of these you’ve seen earlier edits of, some are newly unearthed. Enjoy.
