A friend from DragonCon

Every year my wife and I host several friends who come into Atlanta to attend DragonCon.  Finally, after several years of just not having a moment to spare before, during or after,  this lovely lady and I managed to carve out barely an hour for a quick shoot before she had to dash for the airport for her flight home.

Enjoy.  (nudes below the fold. You’ve been warned)

Soft Curves, Hard Shadows

It’s been a while since I have posted anything here but I have not been idle behind the camera.   Here is a recent experiment with a nude model and lighting for shape and texture.

A colorful city.

Two photos of Atlanta (one downtown, one in Kennesaw, just a few miles northwest of downtown) showing the fabulous variety of color you can capture with very little effort; just timing and luck.

Makeup test from April.

Going back through the year’s sets looking for shots for a gallery show, I came across this set that I hadn’t gotten around to finishing and uploading.

Jess and I were experimenting with a new makeup look and something a little different with respect to wardrobe.  Here are the best from that set.

Enjoy:

From a few short sets.

I, Jess and others will often end up in the studio just playing around with lights, costumes or makeup.  These sets rarely result in a long or consistent collection of usable images but almost always end up with one or two really striking shots.    I have started adding those shots to a ‘short set’ collection for each year.  Enjoy.
